Summer

When travelling to the Coorong in Summer it is important to wear cool clothes as the days can get very hot.

 

To protect yourself from the sun, it is important to wear a wide brimmed hat and sun screen when outside.

​

Activities around the Coorong involve a large amount of walking. It is important to wear good walking shoes to be comfortable and protect your feet.

​

The days may be warm but the nights can get cool. A light jumper for warmth at night is needed, especially if you are camping!

Winter

When travelling to the Coorong in Winter the days can be very cool and wet. Warm clothes are needed in Winter particularly at night time with very cold temperatures.

​

A rain jacket or umbrella will be needed when visiting the Coorong in Winter as most of their rain occurs then.

​

While it is not as hot in Winter, it is still important to protect yourself from the sun with sun screen and a hat.

Summer and Autumn are the best times to visit. The Summer and Autumn weather is great if you love the beach and perfect for camping.
